Gwen's Toy Chest

Our Story

In 2019 our daughter, Gwen, was born 6 weeks early in complete organ failure due to a Neuroblastoma tumor that had formed on her tailbone. She spent 84 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), underwent 18 surgeries, 2 rounds of chemo, developed a brain bleed, hydrocephalus, and other complications. She has overcome every obstacle with positivity and we as a family have gained such insight and gratitude for life. The love we were shown during this difficult time and Gwen’s resilience ignited a passion in our hearts to pay it forward to those who find themselves in the NICU. We build gift bags for families which include Gwen’s favorite book, Mikey and the Dragons by Jocko Willink, a onesie, a blanket from Minky Couture, and a little rattle.
